I said not you!
Good read, wouldn't call him a #1 yet but he has the makings of a Dougie Hamilton type! Same age ? Drafted the same year?

Before you get too excited with your comparison of PP points to Dougie Hamilton, you may want to note that Hamilton was not on the 1st PP unit last year. It was Brodie & Wideman. Gio & Hamilton were on the 2nd unit. Not sure why that was but GG really had us scratching our heads on player usage at different times last year.

Klef is definitely a #1. He's abit behind Dougie I think mostly due to lost injury time.

Still has his breakdowns, but he's not far off if he's not already a 1.
Was fantastic down the stretch last season. But had some hiccups in the playoffs.
Comfortable with him as our 1. And/Or him and Larsson as our top pair .

It's that 2nd pair that's a fukin mess. Even worse, a total garbage fire without sekera

klef has an absolute bomb (no pun intended) from the point but is still figuring out the nuances of the pp.
I actually think Hamilton is unquestionably superior in that regard right now.

It's the rest of the game where I like klefbom more and his ability to play the tough mins as a 1.

That's good to know. Yeah that's strange. Looking at their TOI on the power play, Brodie had 215:47, Gio had 194:14, then Hamilton at 174:04, followed by Stone at 78:29. Wideman had the least with 57:39. Hamilton was by far the most productive with the 3rd most ice time.

Klef is very under rated d wise imo. Makes a great angle, takes out man, stick on puck, puck up ice to forwards. It's a thing of beauty.

Yep
:

It was easy to see the tools, but I was still fairly apprehensive about his overall prospects (especially the defence u mentioned) until about that last 20-30 games last season . Played like a true 1 imo
